5 Ways To Spread The Love This Random Acts Of Kindness Day

Now, more than ever, it feels like we could all do with a bit of extra kindness. This Random Acts of Kindness Day we’re exploring 5 ways in which you can perk up someone’s day and spread a little bit of cheer. Of course, remember that self-care is so important right now so feel free to take any of these ideas and treat yourself too!

Handmake someone a card

We love this idea because both of you will benefit; you will get the chance to unwind with a creative  task and the recipient will enjoy knowing that you are thinking of them!

Even if you don’t consider yourself to be that good at drawing you can make a pretty card with simply doodles such as flowers or swirls. Crack open those colouring pencils or pens and let the creativity flow.

Send some Reiki to a loved one

Take some time today to send some distant Reiki to a loved one or someone you know that could benefit from the healing energy of Reiki today. I’m sure we all know someone that would benefit from the peace and relaxation that Reiki can provide. Don’t forget about your pets too – you can treat them to some Reiki attention with Animal Reiki

Check in with a friend

Why note send a message or call a friend that you haven’t spoken to for a while and ask they how they are doing? Ask them about their day and see if you can make a plan to go for a coffee or a nice walk when things get a bit more normal.

Make a donation to a food bank

Have a rummage in your cupboards or pick up a couple of extra non-perishable items at the supermarket to donate to a local food bank. Many supermarkets have a donation bin or you can seek out a community drop off point. Wherever you are in the world you will be able to search local food banks to you, for example in the UK here or the USA here.

Make someone a tasty treat

Bake up a storm and make a tasty treat to share with a loved one, friend or neighbour. You can find many simple recipes for cookies or fairy cakes online. Why not special some quality time with a loved one and pick out a recipe to follow? Or drop a batch of cookies on a neighbours doorstep with a kind note?
